Son Ja Jang: Homemade Noodle Restaurant
Here we have Jeffrey enjoying his birthday dinner with (from left to right):
- Kimchi and radishes to start. Also served with Ja Jang sauce, made out of roasted soybeans and caramel.
- Tang Soo Yuk (sweet and sour pork)
- JjamPong* (top half of bowl; homemade noodles with various clams/seafood and spicy soup) and Jja Jang Myun (bottom half; homemade noodles with bean sauce and peas). Hangul translation: 짬짜면.
The entrance to the restaurant is through a hallway-type door within the building. There is also a nice window of the kitchen where you can watch them hand-pulling the noodles! Very small Korean restaurant with excellent quality.
Enjoy everyone!
*Unfortunately, Jeffrey could not enjoy the JjamPong because he is allergic to shellfish. We do not have a picture of his disappointment.
LOL. “We do not have a picture of his disappointment.”
